As a retired high school and adult education social studies teacher and administrator for over 30 years in the Clark County School District and parent of CCSD graduates, I have a lifelong passion for improving the quality of life in our community through public education. I am actively involved in The League of Women Voters and other activist groups committed to ensuring the equity and adequacy of education and opportunity for all Nevadans. It is my genuine belief that education is the cornerstone for individuals becoming productive workers and civic-minded citizens to help Nevada move forward into the 21st Century. Holding our leaders accountable for providing direction and resources, holding our educators accountable for delivery and engagement, and holding our students accountable for effort and learning with the help of the community is key to a better Nevada. It is an honor to spend my time and energy as a voice for Nevadans and their right to a much improved public education system.
